About Hope VanCleaf
Founder of Creative Fingerprint Hope VanCleaf from her perspective as a visual storyteller uses multiple mediums to express societal “reflections." Hope began her career as a portrait artist after studying with Chuck Close at the School of Visual Arts. Finding inspiration in a multitude of materials incorporating the written word, papier-mâché, fabric, photography and wheatpaste installations on city streets. Hope was artist in residence for the Art for Families Program at Princeton University Art Museum, NJ. She developed and first taught her Healing Through Creativity workshop (under the umbrella of Creative Fingerprint) for the Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) at the YWCA Princeton. Currently Hope performs photography assignments for Princeton University including The Lewis Center for the Arts. Exhibitions include: Greenwich Village Juried Outdoor Art Show (NY), Mariboe Gallery (NJ), Ellerslie Museum (NJ) Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space (NJ), Watershed Institute (NJ).
